Interactive Workshops
The Honored Dog Journey Workshops
Every dog brings a personality of their own to the relationship. The Honored Dog workshops give dog parents space to notice who their dog is, talk honestly about what surprises them, and find ways to connect that feel right for both of them.
We also offer workshops for shelters and breeders who want to have more helpful conversations with families before and after a dog comes home. Each workshop is grounded in the Honored Dog Journey—a way of understanding how our relationships with dogs grow and change over time.

The Foundation
The Honored Dog Journey
Dog Parenting is a journey. What phase are you in?
Our relationships with dogs change as we get to know them. We imagine what life together will be like, discover who they really are, and learn how to grow alongside them.
The Honored Dog Journey is inspired by Virginia Satir’s Change Model and Bruce Tuckman’s stages of group development. Together, these ideas offer a way to understand the changes we experience as we build a relationship with a dog. The Journey is the foundation for each workshop, helping us explore what matters most to you and your dog right now.
